I am building an Access 97 Database,
The data I want is on SQL Server
An SQL Query is run to extract the data I want
The data is output to excel, I edit to suit and upload to Access

I want to be able to have a query in Access that will get the data directly from SQL server.

I copied the SQL code and pasted it in to Access Query but it did not work

What do I need to do to get this to work?

Thanks

Tapp, you've got some options here. Let's start at the beginning, are your SQL tbles linked into the Access dB yet?

If so, then paste the SQL so I can take a look at it and adjust it (Jet SQL is a little different than SQL Server SQL)

If not, that's gonna be your first step (since you can't run a quey with no tables). You have two options here, link the tables in directly through an ODBC source or use a Pass-Through query which will get your data but it will be read-only (which I think is what you're looking for). Kyle [pc2]
