I read in another thread that Oracle was more suitable for UNIX environments and SQL Server for Windows environments. I am running Oracle 734 in HPUX and want to create a warehouse db under Linux using the data from my Oracle db. Not too happy with Postgres performance and flexibility. Does SQL Server run in Linux?

The answer here is that SQL Server only runs on a windows 32 bit platform.. I don't know about lindows it may be ok, but linx is definitly not an option for mssqlserver

Linx =mysql or Oracle etc...

Remember that MSSQL rules most of the database world, for less money...

always insightfull
