Hey. I had a win2k server installation, and installed SQL Server with mixed mode authentication.

I then installed Active Directory (should I have done this first?). Anyway, right now, it won't even start the SQL service, and i can't seem to log in to use SQL. I tried in the enterprise manager to connect using the non windows authentication users that i have, like 'sa'.

Any ideas?

After installtion of Active Directory the user accounts get changed and the old Windows accout SID gets changed. From Control Panel try to change the SQL Service login with a new Windows administrative permission account ,i.e. DOMAIN\Administrator. If still failing i think you may have to re-install SQL. I have this happened to me and I re-istalled SQL and gone to work again .. ________________________________________________________________________________
