HI All,

a client has a database which is 46 gb, auto shrink and autoupdate statistics is enabled.

They have issues when they upload data, the job deletes records first before inserting new data.

They recieve the following warning in their log file.

12:41:21:303 - Warning : There are warnings in this buffer.

The insert works but takes a long time.

Could the autoshrink be causing the problem?

Thanks in advance,

You don't want autoshrink enabled unless you are low on disk space.

You never want autoshrink enabled. All that will do is thrash the disks, cause fragmentation, and worsen your performance issues.

What are your auto growth settings set to?
