SQL Server 2K roll back / losing table information

Hi,

Has anyone ever experienced sqlserver 2k losing records and fields from a table. I suspect the database is rolling back for some reason. Why would this occur? If so is there a way of turning this feature off as it would result in my application losing critical information.
