SQL server 2K on Win Srv2003

When Insert the SQL SRVER 2000 CD, Windows 2003 says it needs service pac 2 or greater. We have Service pac 3 downloaded. Can we install the serice pac first or what???
This is a catch 22...

I believe you can install SP3 w/out a hitch though you may want to grab SP3A and load it instead.

run your sql server setup.
install sp3 or 3a.

we have a test enviornment running 2003 with sql 2k, works fine.
