Just finished upgrading to SQL Server 2008 and see that there is a R2 version of 2008 already! Is this worth the upgrade and does anyone is there any special pricing for those who have SQL 2008 already? Thanks, Joe

Yes, SQL 2008 R2 has been released. If you are using the BI features then the upgrade is definitely worth it. There are some SQL Engine improvements in the R2 release as well.

There are no special pricing to go from SQL 2008 to SQL 2008 R2. If you purchased software assurance via your volume license when you purchased them you can upgrade for free. If you didn't purchase software assurance you'll have to pay full price for the upgrade.
