Hi,

How do I create a virtual cube in SQL Server 2005 ?

Thanks,

LevoDestro.

You don't.

The recommended design in SSAS is that you have 1 large cube and then carve out your distinct analytic areas using Perspectives.

Being the real world the Microsoft way isn't always the best or only way. So MS allows you to import or link items from other cubes. So you can use linked measures and dimensions but you need to be extremely careful and test when using this as it does not always work as you may think depending on relationship type.

The one big cube idea is based upon the assumption that the measure groups have common dimensions which if you have a date dimension will meet this requirement.
