Hi all,

I am installing SQL Server 2005 on Micrsoft Windows 2003 (Dual Core AMD opteron). After Installation whenever I start SQL Management Studio it take one minute to pop up. To check what is going on I opened the command prompt and executed NETSTAT.
I see the server is trying to connect to a server which is not existing on a port 8080.
I have installed so many servers but this one is giving me hard time.

Please help

Port 8080 isn't a SQL port. That's probably management software of some sort. When SSMS is opening it shouldn't be making connections to any servers.
