Hi,

I'm having a SQL Server 2000 and 2005 running on a server. Services of the 2000 are switched off and disabled. The 2005 is running and a critical system.

I would like to remove the SQL Server 2000 completely from the machine but want to make sure that this will not end up in trouble for the 2005.

Did someone of you have experience in that? I assume it shouldn't make problems but because it's a critical system I want to ensure it will be ok to remove the 2000.

Thanks for your help!

I had to do the same thing a while back. If I remember correctly the only issue is the removal of 2000 will require a reboot because it deletes some 2000 services.
