Hi Gurus,
I am using Profiler for the deadlock and deadlock chain detection, I have
SP3 installed on sql server 2000,
To pinpoint a deadlock i am leisint events -
1.Lock : deadlock
2. Lock : deadlock chain
3. SQL : StmtStarting
But after many tries i conclude that 1,2 is mutually exclusive with 3
either
of 1,2 or 3 is listed , i mean i take only 1,2 it shows deadlock and
deadlock chain is coming on so and so process id. But if i take 1,2,3 it
lists all the Sqls but deadlock or deadlock chain message due to 1,2
disappeares, and i am not able to pinpoint the stmts of deadlock.
Also i tried trace flags on by DBCC traceon command but once we set 1204,
1205 1006 trace flags its not appear in Weblogic trace file at client
side,
By refering document it says we need to give DBCC TRACEON in from client
session to list these traces . can we give DBCC command from J2ee client.
TIA,
Sheilesh
