SQL Server 2000 data redundancy question

I have 2 server computers each with MSSql 2000 installed. One is the master which is in use and the other is the slave I use for a spare, both are networked. My question is what is the easiest or best way to keep the data from the master server databases in sync or up to date with the data on the slave server ? What I have done is to backup the data on the master server and manually restore it to the slave server. How do I automate this process ?

What you are looking for is called Log shipping.

If you have the Enterprise Edition of SQL Server 2000 this is an included feature. If you are using the Standard Edition you'll need to write your own.
