I am converting from Btrieve to SQL and have modified some screens and vb code in SQL Macola 7.6.100. My question is where are the screen changes located? If I restore a Data database from a month ago will I lose my screen changes that I did last week? Are the changes just in the Screens database and the vbaprj dir? Thanks for your help.

The screen changes are in the screens database.....if you have upgraded from btrieve to SQL you must perform the btr to SQL platofrm conversion utility to get the custom screens....did you do this?

Yes, I did this already. The screens I am now modifying are in the SQL Macola version. I did not have custom screens in Btreive. I just want to make sure all of the customization I am doing gets put in the Screens database, because I want to restore my Data database. I don't want to lose anything. Thanks

As long as you don't do another platform conversion, whatever you do in sql will still be there when you convert your btrieve data to sql again. The platform conversion moves the security & user privileges & custom forms from macola btrieve to sql. Other than that, you are better off to start fresh & just upgrade data if need be. Especially if they have been on macola since v6 or before. Upgrade utilities are not the cat's meow, in my opinion. I'd rather allow access to the old db & start over w/new history files when I convert a client.
