Restore Operation Failed.

The machine I am restoring to is a Windows NT SP 6a. Running SQL server Microsoft SQL Server 7.00 - 7.00.1063 (Intel X86). Looking at Microsofts page this confirms that service pack 4 has been installed.

The arcserve server runs windows 2000 sp4, Arcserve 2000 Advanced edition Version 7(build 1100).

Both machines are patched to arcserve service pack 4.

I can confirm that the data is definately on tape by looking at arcserve tape utilities/sessions.

Any ideas?

Check the activity log instead of the job log to see if the error code is listed at the end of the message.
Check the DB Agent log for the error.
Put the DB Agent in debug and restest it. faq478-4684
Check the SQL Error log.
