I just started using SQL reprot services. I have been using Crystal 10 to make reports and the move from Crystal to VB to build reports was not so easy for me. I find report making to be much harder with VB. My question is, am building a report that can be used across many DBs. I know how to make Crystal prompt the user for the DB they would like to run the report against but I cannot figure out how to make the report I am making with SQL report services to prompt the user for the DB to run the report. I know how to setup parameters but I do not know how to setup a parameter that asks the user for the DB name and then run the report on that DB. Any help would be helpful.
