Hello,

I am working with an Access 95 database and have been asked if I can produce an SQL statement which I am stuck on.

There is a table called Catalogue which contains a field called Author. Over time some of the values in this field have been entered in an incorrect format i.e authorsurname.authorforename instead of authorsurname, authorforename which is the correct format

Is there any way I can produce a statement to replace the full stops in the author field with commas?

Many thanks.

Have you tried opening the table in datasheet view and using Find and Replace from the edit menu? Make sure you back up your mdb and/or table prior to performing any mass updates.
