Hi All.

I am using Crystal XI sp4. I have a dozen or so reports that are now going to use different tables with the same data structure. Si i would like to repoint my report to use the new tables.

I have used Set Datasource Location to do this.

I still get the original name of the table displayed.
however,
in the properties of the table i can see that the table name is actually the new table. All good and it works in Preview.

HOWEVER.......

I have an application that takes the report and runs this against a SQL Server Database. It seems as though the SQL String that is being used points to the original tables and not the new tables.

I'm sure that there is a simple way of repointing the tables, however i am loathed to delete the original table and add in the new table as i will have to desing the report again!!!

Help!!!

In data source open up the properties again.

Double click the over ridden qulafied table name and enter table name, Repeat for each table.

This removes schema name/data base name and makes report portable.

Hi thanks for your reply. I have tried this but unfortunatly did not seem to work. I have tried this scenario on a couple of reports and the same thing happens.... God it's so frustrating... Any other ideas?
