SQL Query not accepting fields

I'm running into a situation where I try and insert a database field into my report (CR 7) and the field is there on the design page, but doesn't include it in the SQL query. When I try and type it in the SQL statement, and click ok, and then open the SQL again its gone. This happens for no apparent reason on fields that I include from different database tables. Any ideas???

Have you inserted the field into a section that is visible (not suppressed)?
Any changes you make to the first SELECT portion of the SQL statement in SCR are not saved. Period. It is a frustrating limitation. Malcolm
