I run window 2000 and SQL 2000. I ran a SQL profiler on the server and the profiler crashed because there was not enough space on the C drive.
Can I run SQL profiler from another machine to avoid this problem?????
thanks
Sam

you should always run profiler from another PC. It will consume a large amount of resources.

Absolutely. When you open Profiler, choose File>New>Trace. The first thing you will get is the window where you choose the SQL Server and authentication to use.

Thanks
When I ran the profiler on the server I directed the output to another drive. BUt then I realised that there are lot of temp files written on the C drive and hence it crashed.
I want to avoid this and that is reason i am running it from another PC
thanks again
