How can I get mysql to see a dbf file as a local mysql table that can be searched from a webpage?

The list of supported table formats (eg ISAM, InnoDB, MaxDB etc) can be seen on the mysql site

http://www.mysql.com/.

I've never seen foxpro mentioned.

BNPMike is right. MySQL does not support the .dbf format

You're going to have to export the data from FoxPro into MySQL.

What about a text file?

Presumably your foxpro file is sitting on a Microsoft server, in which case you can use ODBC. Download the driver from micosoft.com.
