Hello,

Guys, I have a server on the dmz which has an app that connects over ODBC to a SQL Server that I have on the internal network. I need to find out which ports I would need to open in order to allow only those ODBC connections to occur. Right now I am allowing all traffic from that server on the DMZ to the SQL Server on the inside, but I can't leave it like that for long. Can anyone please tell me which ports i need to open. Any help is appreciated.

Thanks,

Eddie Fernandez

You will need TCP port 1433.
You may also need UDP port 1434, but you shouldn't.
