I have been studying for the PL/SQL exam for 8i.
Just about ready to sit the exam I think.
I don't generally use SQLPlus much though as there are better products for writing queries/procedures.

Will the Exam have any questions on formatting output/SQLPlus environment variables?

Cheers in advance
Jas

I don't remember any SQL*Plus commands on the exam. The subject matter is SQL and PL/SQL, so SQL*Plus questions would be off-topic, even though it's the most common interface.

nr#1 it's not a pl/sql exam. its an introductory exam on sql and basic on pl/sql.
nr#2 you must familiarize with the sql*plus cmds as they're frequently asked. check out the oracle documentation on otn.

cheers!!!!

Yes there probably will be 1 or 2 questions on basic sql*plus commands.
most likely they will be about GET or SPOOL, nothing too in depth though. Another possible question may be to simply distinguish between SQL and SQL*Plus commands.

SAVE
INSERT
TRUNCATE
COALESCE
INTERSECT

- which are SQL*PLUS commands?
