Hello everyone, I'm a complete novice at SQL administration and have only been doing it for 3 weeks. I have set up security to allow a particular group of users access to one database on a server consisting of 14 databases. Is there anyway I can ensure that this is the only database the user sees as when I tested it out, the user was still able to see all the other databases in enterprise manager, even though the only one they could alter was the one I set permissions for. Any help would be most appreciated.

Thanks

They will always be able to see the other databases in Enterprise Manager. Even though they can only access the database they have access to.

Thanks for your response. You're absolutely right as a couple of people have come back with the same response. I have another quick question. What are the implications if any of giving read only access to the guest account in Master and Tempdb.

Thanks.

That would give anyone that can connect to your database access to read your systems meta data. This would include what queries are being submitted by users.
