Trying to set user level permissions on a few stored procedures and any security I set, it doesn't seem to do anything and user can get to anything. We are running s1l 2005 and have windows and sql intergrated security so I add a windows domain user via smss and when I go to user mapping and select that database, it automatically checks the dbo role along with public. When I uncheck dbo role and try to save, it gives me the following error: sql server 2005 drop member failed for database role 'dbo_owner'. I have another sql server and it works fine. Can't seem to find where and why it might be doing this? Thanks, Joe

Finally got it. Had to do with domain users in the local admin group on that server. Took out and seems to be working as it is suppose to. Thanks.
