sql mial problem

hi everyone, hope someone can help here. I have SQL2000 SP3 installed on a win2003 server. When I try to select a mail profile for server agent, it's greyed out, but when I test the support serives-SQL MAil, the test works fine. Anyone have any ideas why I cannot set a mail profile in Server Agent?
