We have a credit card processing app that runs "on top of" Microsoft SQL Distributed Management Framework SQL Server Service 7.00.623. At least thsi si what I see when I click About on the system tray icon.
The app server will occasionally slow way down with nary a clue as to why. The vendor (*&^%&%$^%$) will suggest we reinstall the whole application as a solution. Don't really like that answer.
I've located the log files and see the following during times that it is slow:
2004-09-01 10:21:02.09 kernel SQL Server terminating because of system shutdown.
2004-09-01 10:21:02.09 kernel LogEvent: Failed to report the current event. Operating system error = 31(A device attached to the system is not functioning.).
Can anyone tell me if this is significant?
Thanks in advance.....
