sql management studio 2012 express 32bit won't install on windows 8 tablet

It runs the check list but says failed on restart computer. this is a new windows8 tablet full version of windows, not RT.
but the computer is instant on there is no shut down or restart or anything. its windows 8.
I clicked the power button to shut it down but that did not work.
so is there anyway around this? it won't install.
