Hi

Having probs with setting up mail in SQL Server 2000.

What i'm doing is:

1) Click SQL Server Properties
2) Server Settings Tab:

SQL Mail
Start mail session using profile:
mail.mywork.com

Then i get this error

Error 18025: xp_test_mapi_profile : failed with mail error 0x80040106

Just wondering if it is possible to set up the mail using outlook express 5 or Microsoft outlook 97.

Its really the profile that i'm having probs with. No default profile is there so i'm trying to write in my own one.

Any ideas?

Because Microsoft Outlook Express does not create a Mail profile, Outlook Express is not supported for use with SQL Mail.

SQL Mail 2000 is not supported with Microsoft Outlook 97.
