SQL Mail to Text Messages

I know this is not strictly SQL but here goes anyway...

I want to send SQL alerts to a Mobile Phone as a Text Message rather than to a pager, does anybody have any information which could help me. I am aware that you need 3rd party software on your exchange server in order to do pager notifications, I was wondering whather there is anything available for Text Messages.

This might not be what you want but...

Some operators like vodafone allow you to set up an email address that will send an alert to you phone when you receive a mail to that address. You could get your SQL server to send a mail to your vodafone (or other) email address which will then send an alert to you mobile phone.
