Hi,

Trying to setup SQL mail on SQL Server 2000 (to alert us if a job fails). I have found a tutorial on this but I just want to know:

It says to change the MSSQLServer service to run under the same user account that you are using to send emails. My question is we currently have the startup service to run as the "system account" not as a specified user - what implications will this have, should I be wary?

Many thanks.

Please ignore - just added a domain account which had all correct privilages.
