Hi, I don't know if anyone can shed light on this problem I have discovered.
I have a lan of 5 computers all running SQL Server databases. All these computers interact with the data on the others. One of these computers has exchange server installed which sends out all the emails via an external modem, this dials up every 10 mins or when email is waiting to be sent out.
Recently I have started sending out a lot more email messages (up to 20 at a time) and I have noticed that whenever exchange server dials up on the external modem to send out emails, if I am still processing code or start processing another xp_sendmail command it hangs. And only when the moden is disconnected I get a fail message saying recipients count not be found.
is there anyway I can get around this? Or fix the problem??
Thanks! any help with be appreciated!!
