Hi All

I have a SQL Server 2000 database that I would like to link to an external apllication (Sage Line 100) The Sage Line 100 link would be via ODBC.

What I want is I want to create an SQL query that links one of my SQL tables with one of the tables in Sage Line 100, but I cant figure out how to link tables into SQL, I know I can import them but as Sage Line 100 is a live system, a live link is what is needed, dont want to have to import the tables everytime my query is run.

Regards

You don't create a link from a SQL table to a remote table. You access the table directly either using it's four part name or by using the OPENDATASOURCE or OPENROWSET commands to access the information that you need.
