I have a database that was justed upsized to SQL 2000. All of the fields in the Access database with a data type of memo were successfully upsized to SQL with a data type of ntext. However when the tables are linked in Access the data type for those fields is text instead of memo so the data is being truncated. We've tried linking from multiple machines and confirmed that the last version of Jet is in place. Any ideas?

Try change the field type in SQL Server to Text and then relink the tables.

That worked. Thank you very much. Does anyone know how to script the modification of the data type from ntext to text? Using the following doesn't work:

ALTER TABLE Org ALTER COLUMN ReferenceNotes text

Thank you
