SQL internal error

Hi,

I am trying to solve a problem related to the backup process in a cluster environment in MSCS with SQL service.

I have got two nodes: sesql001 and sesql002 and sesql000 as the virtual name service.

Lately, we have also installed SQL 2005 so we take into account two types: SQL 2000 and SQL 2005.

Normally we launch backup at 22:30 from Mon to Fri. But sometimes backup fails with "An internal error ocurred".

I have just tested the manual way:

D:\Legato\nsr\bin>nsrsqlsv.exe -a sesql000 -s atlas -v MSSQL:
43708:nsrsqlsv:Start time: Mon Jun 16 10:12:43 2008
43621:nsrsqlsv:Computer Name: SESQL001 User Name: bkleg
An internal error occurred.
43709:nsrsqlsv:Stop time: Mon Jun 16 10:12:43 2008

In sheduled backup the client has the bkleg as enterprise domain account to make the copy.

I have two licenses configured so I desperate to find out the solution.

Could you give me some piece of help?

I assume that this is a MS problem, not a NW problem. Otherwise, the message should have a message id at the beginning of the line.

We have moved the SQL 2005 instances from one node to the another one:

Node1: SQL 2000 instances
Node2: SQL 2005 instances

If I run the backup module in Node2:

"An internal error ocurred"

While if I do it in Node1, no errors.

Does the module require some tips in the default installation?

Probably you just run an older version which is not fully compatible with SQL2005. But so far, only you may know as you do not state any version number. Please have a look at the Release Notes.
