How can I round up (or down) a number in SQL?
i.e. round up 12.56 to 12.6 or round down 12.54 to 12.5.
i'm try to use "round" function in Access 97 but not sucessful and use "round" in Access 2000 it work! I don't know why....

The problems with rounding in Access 97 and earlier versions are well documented. Check the following articles.

ACC: How to Round a Number Up or Down by a Desired Increment

Modules: Implementing a custom Rounding procedure
