SQL in Access 97 1

How can I round up (or down) a number in SQL?
i.e. round up 12.56 to 12.6 or round down 12.54 to 12.5.
i'm try to use "round" function in Access 97 but not sucessful and use "round" in Access 2000 it work! I don't know why....
