I remember seeing this documented somewhere, what is it?
And what is the difference between the SQL I see in the profile tab and the 'other' sql?

You're going to need to be a little more clear on this question. Are you talking about the Magic SQL in Impromptu?

The Profile SQL only shows the SQL being sent to the database. The Magic SQL is the actual SQL being processed.
For instance, if you use an Impromptu function such as DateTime-To-Date, it will show up as cdate in the Magic SQL, but won't show at all in the Profile SQL.

The Magic SQL window is most useful for troubleshooting poorly performing reports. It will help you identify what is being processed on the desktop.

What is the key combination that shows the impromptu sql? Is this the same thing that shows up when we save as iqd?

Hold [CTRL]+[ALT]+[SHIFT] and click Edit. You must hold all three keys or you will not enter "Magic Query" screen.

I believe it is the same as you would see in the IQD.
