Any ideas why the SQL Expression Editor is grayed out on my installation of Crystal Designer? I'm using an SQL/ODBC connection so it should be available. Has anyone encountered this before, and know how to fix it?

Thanks,
A.

What database are you using?

I've never seen it grayed out if the data source was a SQL database, it even works for Access (odbc).

Check the ODBC connection, perhaps it's been repointed, or try creating a new one and see if that works.

It's a Sybase db. I tried a new ODBC, and re-setting the old one, but neither "enabled" the SQL expression editor.
Thanks,

Crystal's ODBC connections to Sybase are pretty shabby. If you can resolve a connection at all, you will notice that certain functions start acting funky, if at all.

I only connect to Sybase 12 reliably through a native connection. And the SQL editor is available.
