Hey everyone,

I'm just starting to get into databases so I downloaded SQL Express 2005 (it's free right!) and thought I'd try a few things with it. Well I tried to import the Adventure Works sample DB for it. That part worked OK but I can't do anything with it. The main problem is when I try to view anything in it I get a Class Not Registered error. Does anyone have any idea what I could do to fix that? A Microsoft KB or anything?? Thanks for helping out a newbie.

Sounds like one of the nifty CLR-enabled SPs is barking at you. Do you have the right .NET framework installed?

Check the KB.

When are you getting Class Not Registered?

Sounds like you may need to reinstall the Client Tools.

Have you installed SQL 2005 SP1?
