A colleague was pointing out that they no longer had the 'Enter SQL' text panel within 'SQL Explorer'.
In a foolish attempt to recreate their problem I went into the 'Enter SQL' tab page and dragged the 'text entry' (where you type in 'SELECT * FROM TABLE1' for instance) box up - now I have lost mine.
How (on earth) do I retrieve it ?
Any help would be greatly appreciated - not sure I want to perform a re-install .... :(
Thanks in advance
Steve

hi Steven

You have to edit the Registry entry for it and at present I can't remember it's exact location.

Will have a mooch...

hi

In RegEdit, you want

HKEY_CURRENT_USER, Software, Borland, Database Explorer, 2.0, dbXForm

Edit the DbX.QuerySplit property to say, 100. That should do it.

Thanks weez.
You're a star. I'm now able to write SQL again ... oh joy !

I have a similar problem, however it is the database/table listing window along the left of the screen, I have had this problem before and am aware of the registry entry but as I change the entry it doesn't have an affect, can you tell me if I am remembering the entry incorrectly or if something else is up..
the entry I was using is
\current user\software\borland\database explorer\2.0\dbxform\dbx.mainsplit

hi CDS02

That's the right parameter. You must close sql Explorer first, edit your registry setting(eg 200) then reopen SQL Explorer.

I've just tried it and it worked.
