SQL Data/Log Backup

Hi,

I have multiple datbases (> 100) and I want to do a
backup of the data/t-log of all the databases.
Can I do it by any other way ,for all the databases other than a maintenance plan (rather than doing for each one).Currently tlog backups of some of the databases are failing.The error is sqlmaint.exe has failed.What could be the reason that some are sucessful and some are not?
