sql courses/training

hi everyone - will anyone be able to provide some help or guidelines on what courses or books i should be taking/reading. I want to start taking sql courses that will lead me into a sql dba knowledge. Can anyone refer me to any books or classes/ courses that i can take? perhaps from msft or a training center or anything of that nature. Thanks.

I'm nowhere near Toronto, you'd be better off waiting for members of TT nearer that area to respond, using google (eg mcdba +toronto)
