I'm looking for a good way to a live connection to a sql database, so that whenever a record gets inserted into a table I immediatly want to know about it. I though about using triggers, but how do I get it to connect or let me application know ? I'm busy developing a security system, we have card readers which automatically write and entry into a field whenever the card a sweeped. The app I'm developing will be stationed at security and will immediatly show who is coming in once tha card is swiped. Any ideas ?
