I am trying to add a SQL table to a report, however, the table name is case. When I try to add the table I get the error message Incorrect Syntax near the word 'case'.

I am guessing that this is because case is an SQL command which is confusing Crystal somewhat.

I can connect if I create a UDL and use that, but has anybody come across this before? If so, is there a workaround (without renaming the table or using the UDL!) whereby the table can easily be added?

What version of Crystal?

One solution I would suggest, as I do to EVERY Crystal developer is to NEVER go directly against tables, create Views instead.

Views take very little space and provide an excellent insulating layer between a report and a table to simplify Maintenance and Reusability.

So I'd create a View, always.
