SQL backup hang

I use Backup Exec 8.60 Rev. 3808 installed on dual-processor server. Sometimes (once a week) SQL backup job hangs in active state.
I found TechNote "Backups of a SQL server may hang when VERITAS Backup Exec is installed on a multi-processor server" which recommends to change some registry values.
I've made these changes but it doesn't resolve problem.

May anybody advise somethihg usefull?
