Hi,

sql server 2000 is doing auto recovery, even though i have not specified, and it seems to crash.

Why is this auto recovery happening?

sorry, i am a newbie to sql?

regards,
Krischrist

when you start SQL Server it will automatically try to recover the databases to the state they were in when the crash happend. It will use the Transaction log to rollback or roll forward transactions.
