Hi,

It'd be appreciated if you could let me know if it's possible to be able to set the SQL authentication to be able to prompt users to change their password as in windows authentication, every 90 days.

Thank you

unless you create an app to handle this type of security request, there is no built in facility in SQL to handle that operation.

Thanks

Thanks,

When setting up the sql authentication login if I select 'enforce password policy' and 'enforce password expiration' then could I set the number of days in the Administrator Tools >> 'Local Security Settings' >> 'Password Policy' so that an alert could be generated by looking at the syslogins table. Would it password expiration look at the policy setup on the server.

Thank you

Looks like you can just turn the policy ON/OFF. I do not think you can set the number of days.
