SQL and Pervaisive SQL

Hi, I'm just wondering if it is possible to have sql and pervaisive SQL on the same server or will there be a conflict. We are using Great Plains Dynamics, which uses Pervaisive SQL, for the finanace department. But for our GIS, I would like to set up data using a SQL database. Would it be possible to set a dual system on one server.

Not a problem ..we have Oracle , SQL server and Pervasive SQL on one single server and they have been running since months.

Actually I need some more help. Our IT person seems very sceptical about this. He told me he spoke to a Dell Technician, and claims he was told that there would be too many conflicts for this to work. So, what I need to convince him is documentation. If anybody can tell me where I could find this on the net please let me know. I have tried the Microsoft knowledge base and the Pervasive SQL site, but haven't found anything yet.
