SQL agent problem - RPC Failed

Hi

I am running BE8.6 with the SQL 2000 agent installed.

When I try and select the 'MS SQL Server' in the backup selections I get a "The Remote Procedure Call failed" error and the Job Engine service is stopped.

Any ideas?

According to

it seems like the computer was unreachable. When its resources are tied up doing something (maybe a program crashed) you won't be able to start any services. You might want to look into the computer that you're trying to back up and ensure that everything is in order. Maybe a reboot might help?

A reboot coupled with installing the latest version of MDAC (2.7) worked a treat.
