Hello,

I have AS2000 running on a W2K ADV server, with both the SQL and BAOF agent. When I set up a backup schedule I cannot select any database on the local MSSQLserver. When I try the same on another SQL server (remote, with te same config) everything works fine. In the DBASQL.log I can see that the agent connects and disconnects within less then a second.

I have tried practicly everything. Reinstall of AS SP4, reinstall of AS2000 and agents, different user to connect in SQL agent (default I'm using the SA account).

But nothing works, can somebody help me ???

Since you are running W2K Adv Server, you did not say if this was a cluster or not.

Assuming not, uninstall and reinstall the agent, and verify the authentication information. If using domain authentication, do not put the service account in as Domain\Username--just use Username.

If it is a cluster, then enter the virtual server name for each SQL instance, doing this for all instances.
