sql 7 on virtual server

You'd want to post this in the SQL Admin forum forum962.
That said installing SQL on a virtual machine is no different than installing it on a physical machine. SQL doesn't know the difference.
It's usually a bad idea to install SQL on a virtual server because of the amount of resources that SQL uses.
